| | Exam for A2 German language
Hello Everyone,
Hope you all are doing very well. I need to apply for c-permit being spous of Swiss wife. I am working 100% and everything work quite fine except German language.
I have 2 questions:
1. Is there any condition of fresh certificate for German Language while applying for C-Permit? Actually 9 years back when I arrived to Germany for study I took German course and Exam by Goethe zentrum in my country and also have certificate. So question is; Is it still valid to give same certificate while applying c-permit? Will it be acceptable or do we have time bar condition?
2: If I want to participate for fresh exam , do we have institute who offerd such kind of exam with reasonable price? Its not compulsay to participate telc or Goethe exam. This condition may apply from next year
Regards

Just submit the certificate you have. AFAIK, Goethe language certificates don't expire.

| | A level German Exam Certificate
Hello Everyone,
I need little information regarding A2 level German Exam. I need urgent exam result to submit in office and they mentioned its not required to have exam with Telc or Goethe. So is there any one who can recommend any place for exam from where I can get certificate after exam on urgent bases.
Quick response in this regard will be highly appreciated.
Regards

Regards | | | | | Has this 'office' mentioned which exam/language certificate they would accept if it's not required to be from from Telc orGoethe ?
Easiest would be to hop over to nearest Migros Klubschule and get your language assessment done. Mind you it's not a certified test , but with the information you have provided, may be it works
Any proper exam like Goethe/Telc you have to plan ahead , register , sit for exam and get the result in 3 - 4 weeks

if you would have registered for a proper exam already when you opened this thread, you might have already got the certificate |

If the office is the Migration Office you can do the fide Sprachnachweis exam. They are offered for example at the Migros Klubschule. https://www.klubschule.ch/Angebote/S...#tab=tab-offer (Sort by Datum, get the earliest offers)
Other fide test centers https://www.fide-info.ch/doc/08_Spra...titutionen.pdf . You will have to check for yourself if they might have an earlier offer/
Telc and Goethe both close registration a few weeks before the test.

Der Sprachnachweis wird Ihnen 5 Wochen nach dem Prüfungstermin von fide zugestellt.
It would still take 5 weeks to get the certificate/confirmation

Telc is 5 to 6 weeks.
Looks like there is Goethe A2 exam in Winterthur Dec. 7 - 9 and the results should be available Dec. 17. https://goethe-pruefungen.swiss-exam...-zertifikat-a2 |

Thanks for your quick response.
Its Migration Office and they did not mention any specific requirement pf authority. Are you sure with assessment test one can get description of speaking / writing level?

@swisspak - Did you submit the certificate you already have? Did they reject it and that's why you need to sit a new exam?

Little disappointed

Little disappointed | | | | | Maybe check into Fide? I am not sure how long they take to return results, but I think it is Swiss-based and might be a bit quicker? https://www.fide-info.ch/en/sprachnachweise
Edit to add - There is no rush to apply for the C. Although you'd like it soon, you're still eligible for a B renewal since you're married to a Swiss citizen. It might be less stress to renew the B now and then work on the certificate and apply for the C.

fide Bern (Wabern) were not quick when I approached them, they do not hold these every week and they move around Switzerland. I was initially offered an exam in Luzern a month after submitting all my documentation - but as others have said, speak to them first.

I had hoped since they were "local" they'd be faster than one of the big organizations.
