Deregistration and re-entry

Quick question, if you have deregistered temporarily from Switzerland and in the event you return for a short trip is it better to just show your passport (canada) or show both the passport and your c-permit card that expires in 2022?

Will the system show the date you deregistered?

TIA

If you deregistered, your C permit is no longer valid (even if it is on hold)?

Re: Deregistration and re-entry

If you are coming for a short trip, that makes you a visitor. If asked show your (expired) permit telling them it is on hold, and you are just visiting.
