B Permit Renewal for my son-7 months pending

Submitted my son's B Permit card renewal to OCPM in June 2019 which is still pending. Have visited the OCPM several times in the last 6 months and receive the same answer , file is still pending no issues detected, you will receive the permit card by post. Any contacts within the authorities who could take this up seriously ?

Re: B Permit Renewal for my son-7 months pending

Just checking:
Is your own permit still valid?
Is your son still under the age of 18?

If yes to both, it sounds like it is all chugging along in the usual kind of way that these things can do. The authorities are overworked, and things just do take time. Frustrating, but not really much you can do about it.

To give a bit of context, here's a thread by someone else (with a different set of circumstances) who is also frustrated at having to wait so long. https://www.englishforum.ch/permits-...on-permit.html
There, you can see that I've passed on a lawyer's recommendation that the person whose permit has not yet been issued keep a copy of a letter from the authorities with them at all times, one that says: "We have received your application and are working on processing it."

Re: B Permit Renewal for my son-7 months pending

6 months is a long time, even for the OCP.

However, I visited the OCP a few weeks back for my daughter's passport. It was unusually chaotic with long queues and harassed security staff.

You can request in person, an attestation that the OCP has received the renewal application. The attestation and the expired permit are usually more than enough for anyone who might ask to see the permit.
