Open B Permit

Hello

I work in Switzerland for 6.5 straight years and from a non EU country. My B permit reads ‘une independante activite soumis a authorisation’.

Three questions:

1. How easy or difficult is to get authorisation to do independent activity? Say start a tech company or a management consulting company?

2. In case of unemployment, Will I be able to get the full benefits since I have contributed for so long?

3. Will I be able to stay till the permit expires? I have two years validity.

Would appreciate your guidance and support

Set up sarl / sa with a local Swiss director and you as employee.
One is allowed to work a maximum of 52 hours / week (pls crosscheck)
2. In case of unemployment, Will I be able to get the full benefits since I have contributed for so long?
Yes
3. Will I be able to stay till the permit expires? I have two years validity.
Yes

Re: Open B Permit

Thank you so much for your kind reply.

1. //One is allowed to work a maximum of 52 hours / week // Sorry I didnt understand what you meant.

2. If one takes unemployment benefits, will it affect the C permit which is due in a few years?

No, not unemployment insurance, only getting social help does have an impact

What i mean is, you can have a full time job (40.5 hours/ week) and in addition do work for your own sarl / sa.
