Remote Work for Swiss Company

Hi,

I hope that I posted thread in correct place.

I consider to work for Swiss company (as permanent employee (not contractor etc.)) - and work +/- 50% remotely from my home (in EU) - other 50% I will travel on my own (I will paid myself for travel and acommodation) to office in Swiss.

If there are any law limitation / rules on working remotely for Swiss company ? Where I could find details for that ?

Regards,
Kari

Shouldn't be, but best to talk to the cantonal migration office to make sure. Also depends which EU country you're talking about. Croatians for example couldn't do this. You'd probably need a G permit, but again I'm not sure on that, depends on how often you're going to be in Switzerland.

Can you recommend where exactly I could send email request for clarification (in english) - or how I can clarify it there?

Kari

Re: Remote Work for Swiss Company

We've had employees who've worked remotely but employed by us in Switzerland, and it's never been a problem. I'm not sure what type of permit you'll need, but your employer should have that in hand. It may be easier and more tax efficient for you to work on a consultancy basis?
