Family reunification/d visa - travel together?

Hi all,
We have applied for a family reunification visa (D-visa) from the UK which is currently being processed. My husband is a Swiss national and we live together in the UK.
Does anyone know if we absolutely have to travel together as a family once I receive my visa? Can I husband drive ahead with the dog and then I can enter/fly with the kids later? Our dog is old with anxieties and we want to drive rather than fly her to ZH.
Thank you for any advice!

When I first traveled to CH for work, I came alone. My spouse and kids joined me much later on family reunification visa.

I don't see any reason why you both need to come together at once to CH.

Thanks, I would have thought so as well. But one of the questions we got asked from Migrationsamt was - 'Ist eine gemeinsame Einreise geplant?'
We dont know if that is the expectation or just a simple question!

It's just a simple question, give them the reason, which is perfectly valid, and here will be absolutely no problem
