Work permit for EU citizen

I just arrived in switzerland and I'm living with my aunt. I've been looking for jobs (bars, cafes and restaurants so far) to get a work permit. I'm Spanish (EU citizen) so I've been told multiple times it's pretty easy to get the permit, I just need a work contract (minimum 50%, 2000 fr etc) but all the places I've heard back from have asked me to get the permit before they hire me. But how can i do this?? Is there any way I can get the permit without a contract?? (That is NOT marrying a Swiss person)

Re: Work permit for EU citizen

Not easily it seems. You can be here as a tourist for up to 3 months to look for work. If you don't find a job in that time you can then apply for a job seeker L permit for another 3 months, providing you have the funds to support yourself.

The emphasis from the Swiss government is for employers to hire people who already have permits which is why you're getting the replies you are. Probably the employers have to provide some sort of proof they've tried hard to find someone so they're being extra careful.

Indeed, article 21 from the law on foreign nationals and integration. An employer needs to prove no Swiss national, foreigner with any kind of work permit or refugee is able to do the job...then a foreigner with no permit can be hired. (https://www.admin.ch/opc/en/classifi...2/index.html):

But, opportunities are out there. A list of jobs sites, job agencies and related organizations. Good luck https://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/employm...ncies/29233180
