Permit Question

Permit Question - Apologies if this is covered elsewhere : I am a UK national employed on a full time contract with a company in Zurich - with a 5 year B permit. Been here a couple of months - really enjoying life! My wife and two young children have been over and really feel in love with the place as well. My question is around whether or not my family are going to face issues getting residency permits? My wife wont be working initially until the children get settled in school. Thanks...

Re: Permit Question

When we (UK family) came over, albeit a few years ago, we all got B permits based on working spouses job. Speak to your employer or your Geminder. They will help with this.

Re: Permit Question

Nope - they are still in the UK. Still searching for a suitable property : it'll be a couple of months before they're in a position to move across.

Re: Permit Question

If you have enough income and the house is big enough (like a 3 bedroom one if you have two kids) you should have zero problems getting permits for the whole family.

Re: Permit Question

So long as your salary and the place you live in is big enough for everyone it should be fine.

At least until the end of the year.
