Can my partner move to CH?

Hi everyone,

Hope you are safe and well all of you.

I need you to shed some light please, if anyone knows. I work full time in CH and I am EU. My partner is EU too, not working, and was about to move to Switzerland. We are not married. Is there any way my partner can still move to CH? Can I somehow prove to the authorities that I will be in charge of any expenses occuring etc so my partner can move to CH?

Thank you very much in advance.

If you have enough income there should be no problem. They ask you to sign a paper making you financially responsible.

Re: Can my partner move to CH?

I doubt that your partner can come now. Afaik only people with a residency permit and some few exceptions are allowed into the country right now.

And when that will be lifted, is open.

Re: Can my partner move to CH?

You'd need to apply for a concubine permit where you agree to be financially responsible for them for 5 years. However, as roegner said no permit applications are being dealt with until 15th June at the earliest so nothing's going to happen before then.

Re: Can my partner move to CH?

You´re in luck, it just changed as per today´s announcement:

https://www.polizei-schweiz.ch/coron...ollen-bleiben/

You´d need to check how that works if your partner is not coming with a job.
