Permit and apprenticeship contract

Hi, I have found an apprenticeship contract in a restaurant. What kind of living permit I can request (I am Italian)? How much is the average salary?

Re: Permit and apprenticeship contract

Apprenticeship as what, exactly?

First year, CHF 600 -1200/month, depending. Cooks more, waiters less.

Re: Permit and apprenticeship contract

The apprenticeship contract should specify how much you will be earning.

As far as I understand it, a permit is automatic for an EU citizen who can support him/herself. It is, however, not possible to live on an apprentice's salary. What will you do, to cover the rest of your needs? Do you perhaps have financial support from your parents?

Re: Permit and apprenticeship contract

I'm confused. Looking at your other posts it seems you lost your last job back in December so where are you now? Your location still says Zurich, but if you didn't have a permit and no way to support yourself are you elsewhere now? Also in another thread it was said you had German nationality, but now you're claiming Italian. And you said you worked as a freelancer in the UK in IT, but now you're applying for an apprenticeship in a restaurant? Your threads are reading more and more like troll ones.

In any case as doropfiz said the contract should state what you will be paid. Whether you get a permit or not will depend on whether the Swiss authorities think it's enough for you to live on. If not, you won't get a permit. If they do, then it'll depend on the length of the contract: an L if for less than a year, a B if for more than a year.

Re: Permit and apprenticeship contract

How can you get an apprenticeship (in Zurich?) without knowing German? Donīt you have to go to school as well with an apprenticeship?
