Non-EU B Permit - Advise on Concubine Visa and C permit

Good afternoon everyone,

Hope everyone is doing well.

I have spent a few hours researching past post/threads on my topic on the forum, however i was finding conflicting/different information so decided to it's best to start a new thread.

I have been living and working for 4years/8 months in Vaud - Switzerland on B permit for non-Europeans which is linked to my company/job here. My company have been in talks for the past 18 months to transition my current agreement to local contract but with covid situation has been put on hold and potentially looking to move my position to the United Kingdom next year June.

I am in a serious relationship with a EU national with C permit for ~2.5 years. We have been hoping to get stability with transition to potential local contract in order to focus on the next steps of our relationship. In light of this, we are looking at options that we can take independently and so far i have narrowed down to two:

1. Concubine visa - I have read the requirements, however as we have been living in my apartment which is in the name of the company/myself, we are not able to to produce joint lease or utilities bills. In addition, i have financial proof of my savings that can see my through if i had to loose my job for a substantial period. As i am also currently working my boyfriend can provide my employment contract too. Would this be an option?

2. Application for C permit - In terms of my permits, i was allocated the following: 2016 - L, 2017 - L, 2018 - 2021 B permit. In light of this, would i be be able to do an early application towards mid 2021? In addition, i have my B1 (language and spoken) exam scheduled next month which i am confident i should pass. Any advise on this option would be appreciated?

Thank you everyone in advance for reading or providing advise if they have knowledge or experience on this matter.

Lastly, if anyone has contacts for people that provides this type of service for assistance please let me know as i understand this is a delicate situation and often handled on case by case basis so i would like to be prepared as best possible.

Have a wonderful afternoon,
Eliz

Re: Non-EU B Permit - Advise on Concubine Visa and C permit

Welcome to the Forum. I'm not sure which approach would be best, but my initial instinct is to try and get the C permit on your own merits instead of switching to a dependent permit. Then you can continue to live and work here regardless of how the relationship proceeds.

Thank you for the welcome to the platform and advice
Good POV to start with the application for C permit as first option, perhaps concubine visa can be a backup option.

Have a good evening!
