is interrupted stay counted for regular naturalization

I lived in Lausanne from 2015 to 2018 and intent to come back to CH to work in Bern from 2021. Would my 3 years stay in Lausanne be counted for the 10 year requirement for regular naturalization. Any other thing that I need to consider?

(I am in a dilemma whether to spend stay 4 years more in Ireland or move to Switzerland and spend 7 years to get citizenship of these country)

Thank you in advance for your advice..

Re: is interrupted stay counted for regular naturalization

What permit did you have during that time?

It is usually total years living in Switzerland that count so it is possible to have an interruption, you will need a minimum number of years in the canton and commune before you can apply and this varies from place to place.

The years here on a B permit will count towards the total.
