Permis C restart question/s

Hi
My son had his permis C put on hold for less than 2 years while he was finishing school overseas. He is back and we want to un-pause the hold on the permis C. What do we need to ask for to set this in motion?

Where did you go to get it paused? I would go back to the same place & ask.
