| | Employment insurance benefit
Hello
If someone on a B permit lose his job after 18 month of full time jobs
How long do I have to wait to get my EI payments and does it cover from the moment I lost the job
Do I get 80 percent of the net salary or from the gross and
Can I leave the country while having my EI payments or I have to be in Switzerland
Thanks

To receive unemployment benefits you have to be available to work in Switzerland. Aside from a short vacation (which I think needs to be pre-approved by RAV), being out of the country wouldn't work. If it was that simple, everyone would take a holiday to the beach for a few months.
Also I believe it's only 80% if you have children, otherwise it's 70%.

And you need to calculate in a waiting period most of the times.

I don't find the document now, but as far as I remember 5 "waiting days" in any case, 20 if salary above 120k, if you have children it is 5 no matter your salary. 20 days is de facto a month as they pay per work day.

Methinks this is another troll, because he posted about having to pay 7k tax in Switzerland whilst visiting a brother here, but then says something about he doesn't want to live here. Just ignore him, it's another justintheexpat if you ask me.

With covid sometimes they don't even need to come back at all.

Ah, perhaps a clue (from an online cement industry newsletter)? Brazil: Italy’s Buzzi Unicem has announced that it has reached an agreement to buy a 50% stake in the Brazilian company BCPAR from Grupo Ricardo Brennand for Euro150m. BCPAR operates two integrated cement plants, one in the north east state of Paraíba and one in the south east state of Minas Gerais. The Minas Gerais plant started operations in May 2011 and has an annual production capacity of 2.4Mt/yr of cement. The Paraíba plant was commissioned in August 2015 and it has a capacity of 1.7Mt/yr. Buzzi Unicem will retain the right to buy the remaining 50% of BCPAR from Ricardo Brennand until 1 January 2025.
Let's see--purchase of half the company. "What to do with all that cash? If we could only get it into Switzerland (or Swiss, or whatever). Let's get Jr. on the case via some message boards."
