English speaking immigration lawyer in Zurich

Hi,

I'm looking for a good lawyer to answer the legal intricacy with regard to naturalization process for my child. As the details are private, I would like to get an advice from a reputed lawyer who could guide me well, as the stakes ate quite high.

Can someone recommend a good lawyer on naturalizations topic who could guide me here, based on your experience?

Thanks for understanding

Cheers
Pavan

Immigration lawyers aren't a thing here.

Re: English speaking immigration lawyer in Zurich

Hi,

To qualify for the naturalisation

1) The person should have stayed in CH for 10 years &
2) 3 of last five years in CH.

The query is does this 3 years have to be continuous? as this will be a big show stopper in my case.

Therefore i need a lawyer who could help me to check my eligibility.

Thanks
Pavan.

Obviously not, as otherwise it would be stated "the last three years" and not "three of the last five years".

No need for a lawyer.

Have you checked your cantonal and commune rules though? As they normally ask you to have lived there for the last X number of years.

Thank you, I don't know yet, I need to find out what are the requirements for Zurich zone 10.

Do you know where I could find the info by commune?

Many thanks

Did you move? Because your profile says Bern, but you're asking about Zurich.

Ask either at your commune's admin office or check their website if they have one.

And you first said it was for your child, then later said it was for you. Which is it because the rules can be different for kids/youngsters?

Yes, I thought of this as well after my post!

Really, just ask at your commune.

Hi,

The I'll not be applying and my enquiry is only for my child.

Yes I moved to Altstetten in Zurich my profile is not updated.

In this case I should enquire in Kreis Büro right?

Zone 10? What is that?

However the rules are the same for the whole canton ZH:
16–25 years old: The last two years in the canton.
All others: The last two years in the same commune.

The City of Zurich is one commune. Obviously. Hence you can freely move from one Kreis to another.

The years spent in Switzerland form age 8 to 18 count double (however, there is a minimum residency requirement of 6 years)

Here is a link which may help.

As others have already shared, talk to the Gemeinde. You can pay a lawyer to do the same but you can save some money for sure.
