Non EU accompanying family Visa process

Dear All,

I am a non EU living in Denmark with my family (non EU) and will be moving to Switzerland. The employer has applied for my work permit and I can pick iyt up once it is approved from the consulate.

I have a tail question here, what should I do or my employer to get the visa of my family as well so that we all can move together. I read on website of Swiss Embassy that the application will be forwarded to canton first and then it can take upto 8-12 weeks.

I would like to know from the people who were in a similar situation and what was their experience and if they could share any tips.

Thank you

Re: Non EU accompanying family Visa process

Welcome to the Forum. My understanding is that your employer should include your family in their request for the permit so that you all get your visas at the same time.

Medea will be along shortly with more info.

Re: Non EU accompanying family Visa process

Basically what 3Wishes said. Your new employer needs to apply for family reunification permits for your dependents then if/when approved you will all be able to get your Type D visas stamped in your passports so you enter Switzerland for more than the 90 day tourist limit.

Thank you for your reply. By any chance these forms are called Quellensteuer or Familienzulagen?

No, Quellensteuer is tax related, Familienzulage is child support
