Moving at permit renewal time.

My, and my daughter’s, C-permits are up for renewal 2-3 weeks after I move gemeinde, does anyone know how that will work with regards permits? Can both things be dealt with at the same time, even if they are 2 weeks apart?

Also, my daughter will be in the UK during the move due to court ordered visitation (and me not wanting a child underfoot whilst moving), can I de-register and register her without her present, and, more importantly, without her permit present? (she will need her permit to fly back to Switzerland).

If not, how long do I have to de-register and register? Is there the same 10 day leeway with first registration or will I get in trouble de-registering after my rental contract is over (they will inform the gemeinde).

Re: Moving at permit renewal time.

AFAIK you can renew them 2 months in advance so why not do it now?

Re: Moving at permit renewal time.

It's 3 months in advance, actually. And it shouldn't be an issue at all if you're moving within the same canton but if there's still time I'd recommend to just renew them early.

Re: Moving at permit renewal time.

Cool. I did remember that, as I asked for my B to be converted to a C just before the Brexit vote, 2 months before the renewal date.
Yes, same Kanton, different city.

I guess I was hoping I could do it all at the same time. I applied, renewed/changed my permit at the gemeide centre everytime before, rather than the migrationsamt.

I guess I will have to swallow the cost of the change of address when I move gemeinde.... Any idea if I can deregister and register my child if she and her permit are not here? And if not, how long after I move must I deregister?
