EU citizen - 12 months contract: B or L permit?
Hi all, I know that discussions over permits are quite extensive, but I have not find one regarding my specific doubt.
I am an EU (italian) citizen, with a master degree, and I am going to work as design engineer with a 12 month employment contract (type is employment of maximum duration). My field luckily is pretty much needed in the job market, and the reason why I took this position is because is the most interesting, career wise, in a research company.
I wonder, since my plan is to stay in Switzerland regardless they will extend the contract or not, of being exactly 12 month make me fall in the category for an L or B permit. Since B allows for unemployment while looking for the next job.
My job contract states that it is valid for obtaining a valid permit, but nothing else in this regard.
Also, in the past I already worked in Switzerland, I got a B permit, then since I changed to work back home for a while, the B permit became invalid (it would have expired in 2022 if I stayed).
Any opinion on how likely I will be to get the B type?
