My husband and kids applied for C permit in March. I received my B1 language certificate end of April, but have not applied yet no to slow down their process. Beginning of May we got a letter that file was sent to SEM for approval.
1) what is the recent processing time by SEM?
2) can any additional documents be requested by Bern or usually it's only done by local authorities?
3) at what point the fingerprints are scanned? All the kids are now over 6 (when receiving B permit 5 years ago only the older one had them scanned).

Magically the C-permits for kids arrived today (not for husband, though - he filed his data at EU and kids - as non-EU).
So it took about a month at SEM to process everything, and about 3 months in total.

I was going to reply that my kid's never had her fingerprints taken (arrived here as a toddler, switched to a non-EU C in the meantime).
