What are advantages of L Permit

Dear All

This is my first writing in the forum and I want to say Hi to all of you.

I want to know or share experience with you about L permit.

I have a B permit and this year changes it to L permit. The lady in the Krise Buro did not give me satisfactory answer about this change.

I want to ask you people what are the advantages/ disadvantages of L permit to other permits like B, C.

Is it possible that my permit can change from L to other permit like C or not at all.

Thanks and regards

Sonu

Re: What are advantages of L Permit

Never heard of that happening before.

Normally most people start on an L (Limited permit) then get upgraded to a B (of which there a many flavours).

L-permits are easy for companies to organise and either are not limited in numbers or have higher limits.

L-Permits are often used for seasonal work as well.

B-Permits used to be 'limited' in numbers, but I think for EU nationals are a not limited in numbers (but there are limits for non-EU nationals).

B's I think cost more. Maybe the link posted above will answer more of your question(s).

Is it possible that you mis-places the L and B in your post?
I am sure you have L and is about to change to B.

What kind of employment contract do you have? Limited period or open-ended permanent contract?

+1

It is normal for a new comer to just get an L

1/ Because these are easy to arrange and have no Quota's
2/ Cheaper
3/ Why bother getting someone a 'B' straight away as you don't know if they will stay. i.e. why go through the a) Extra Hassle b) Extra cost c) use up Quota etc....

When the L runs out, often this is changed to a B, but you should ask HR about this well in advance.

Having a B makes life easier here i.e.

1/ car registration
2/ Finding accomadation
3/ Banks and credit cards
etc...
