I would like to know if anyone here has any experience applying for an early C permit (non-EU/US/Ca) in the canton of Ticino. This year I will be completing 6 years in Switzerland (only the last 4 in Ticino) and I couldn't find any information specifically about Ticino.



I fulfill the typical requirements for the application, but I am looking for some experiences and whether anyone has more information on what they would expect as "integration" and what could be helpful in an application letter. Really not sure what to expect so any information would be welcome!

Hi there! I did apply early for the C permit, I’m also a non-EU citizen. However as a-non-said-rule before applying for the C you should receive your 2-year B. And in any case your B should be about to expire. Instead of sending the request for for B permit renewal you’ll apply for an early C.
I don’t recall any need for an application letter. Most probably they’ll ask you a language proficiency certificate. I’d recommend going with FIDE.

got mine automatically without asking at b renewal time. had to take a FIDE exam (first available date was about 2 months later plus a month to get result) and get interviewed by the police.

I never applied, they just gave it to me after 5 years.
