Hi all,

I am working on L Permit in Zurich. Just few days back I came to know that I am pregnant. And just now I got work extension about 2 yrs here in Switzerland.

My current L permit is valid till June 2009.

Is there any problem I will face if I will give birth to my baby here in Switzerland? Or do I need to go to my home country to give birth to my baby?

I am external employee in my current company will I get maternity leave here? Or is it all depend upon my company ?

Giving birth while you are on L permit is not an issue at all. You can certinaly give birth to your child here, no need to go back to your home country.

Maternity leaves will solely depend on policies of your parent company.
