| Hi there,
just wondering if you ever got any information regarding this thread?
We are about to move cantons. We are applying for our B permits (from L permits) in our current canton. However,mI was unsure if then we'd have to reapply/pay for new B permits when we move to our new canton?
Many Thanks | |

assuming you are Eu'ers:
tell your current canton you plan to move soon, if it is within a month (or 3?) they might just extend your L permits to cover that. when you arrive in your new canton register for B permits with the L permit as proof you are in the system. There will be some admin overhead at least, the option above will probably be the cheapest, but only 20 or 60CHF.
If you get your B permit for your current canton you still have to de-register from there and then register in the new canton. and i'm pretty sure will have to pay twice then for the B permit, 60--100CHF
Try the first option, how you prove convince them i'm not sure, but its worth a try.
if you are not EU'ers then that's a different story.
