Suggestions about 1-year leaving Switzerland with a family-reunion B permit

Hi all,
I would be much appreciated to whoever can give me some advices for the situation below:
I'm a non-EU citizen who works in Switzerland, and am holding a B permit.
My wife is also a non-EU citizen. She joined me here for family reunion reason 1 year ago. In this case, she holds a "family-reunion" B permit (sorry I do not know the exact name).
The thing is that, she is pregnant (thanks God). She is thinking to go back to our home country to give birth, as she will live more close to her parent and sisters. In such a case, she wants to leave Switzerland for 1 year, and then come back with our baby.
Now the issue pops up. As far as I know, people holding a "family-reunion" B permit (or any other B permit) can leave Switzerland for at most 6 month per year, otherwise they will lose their visa. My question is, if she still decide to give up her B permit now and go back for the year, will she obtain a new one if she re-apply (still for family reunion reasons)?
Someone said voluntary giving up (deregistration) "family-reunion" B permit will affect obtain it at a second time, is that true? Does any one know similar story?
Thank you very much!

Family reunification is never guaranteed. Do you want the stress of re-applying and maybe it being refused? Make it 6 months. Also, do you really want to be apart from your newborn for so long?

Hello. Thank you very much for your reply. I certainly do not want to take the risk. Your words will be helpful to me when I try to convince my wife.
Have a nice weekend.

First of all congratulations. I was in same situation for the first child. My wife did deregister and go through the family reunification process again. I don't think obtaining visa for the second time would be problem if you have sufficient financial means to support your family and fulfill visa conditions then. If your wife parents could come here on visitor visa that would be the best otherwise this option is also not bad. You can be with her for sometime atleast with the help of vacations, work from home etc.
