Dear EF community,

I have a potential contract with Roche but through a contractor. However, they expressed that they can't sponsor a permit for me (not that they are not allowed but rather a workload wise).

I have two swiss degrees and currently my permit is "Ausbildung mit Erwerbstaetigkeit" based on my recently finished hospital position. I will renew it by end of March to a job seeker permit or possibly a 6 months extension of studies.

I understand that as a non-eu swiss graduate, I can get access to the swiss market if the job is related to R&D which would be my current situation. My question is: is it possible that I do the work permit application myself? in terms of paper work? What would be the company's responsibilities/tasks in that frame?

They do not really have "to sponsor" anything. They just have to apply for a work permission, which they have to do any way if they want to employ a third country national.
