I'm currently preparing my docs to acquire my EU citizenship & i'm required to submit birth certificate extracts & criminal records from my country of origin & Switzerland as i'm resident here too.

I'm wondering if i can get an extract from my birth certificate from Switzertland (as i submitted it here when i applied for my residency) or it does have to be from my country of origin?.

For a birth certificate, I think you can only get it from your country of origin.
