L-Permit for old EU and unemployment benefits?? Confused forum veteran
Today I received an L-Permit for 2 months. I am old EU, had a B permit which was time limited for 2.4 years, as it was a fixed Marie Curie EIF Postdoc contract. My L-Permit says it is to find a job. Big question; do people on an L permit qualify for unemployment?? I searched everywhere on the forum, but have not found an answer. I am asking because it is a special case, as my B permit was time limited, and I do not understand if a normal person with old EU passport and not a time limited contract would have gotten another B permit. Hence, does anyone on an L-permit qualify or we never do?!!
I am quite worried about this as I need more than 2 months to find a job as lecturer and get other grants organized. Any answers much appreciated!
Anyone? Basically I need to know if L-permit people can NEVER ever be eligible for unemployment benefits?!
