Help!

Hi there,
I'm due to move to Neuchatel in June to work on a research project in a library there. I'm intending to stay for at least 16 months, although this could be extended a little perhaps. Iím a British citizen, have a PhD and the project Iíll be working on will be based at the University of Leeds, which will be my employer. The question I have, of course, is what sort of permit Iíll need and if itíll be easy to obtain? Iíve tried to work it out from various sites but itís all rather confusing I find. Thanks in advance (and a million questions about apartments, friends etcÖ to follow of course!)
Mark

He may get a EU B permit though as he is coming in June as quotas are being removed (though I cannot remember if it is in June or July 2007)
