New Question EFTA L to EU B

Hello -

We are a Danish American family living Basel. My husband is Danish & is the one working. I am the following spouse who is getting bored & thinking about starting to work. I am a trained counselor & would like to work independently (Self employed). I have read through many of the threads in this site and understand the following:

-we have the right ot B permits but have L permits because the quota for EU B's were probably full when we arrived 18 mos ago.

-When my husband receives an EU B I will as well. This will give me the right to work as well as the right to work for myself.

-Becoming a counselor for myself will need approval by the stadt which may involve my education & previous experience being reviewed.

Can anyone confirm what I have concluded from reading the threads on this site as well as other internet research I have done.

Also, can we speed up the process of receiving the EU Bs that we are due?

Many Thanks,
Tara
