First of all.thanks for the owner of the website ,good website for us..

I am thai,from thailand. I ve applied the visa to go to get married in Genf. i have applied already 2 months,after the canton get all the document from the Bangkok embassy. After the date the I finished interview in the embassy they said after 2 months you bring the passport to check the answer for the visa. they stamped on my passport that i am asking for D Visa.

I went to the embassy yesterday they still no answer. my partner went to the office yesterday as well they still say on the computer say i will send you a letter than some the one working on it said next we will send you a letter but we really dont know what sort of the letter we will get it next week.

some one told me they have waited almost a year to get the visa.
I went to Uk 2 times and went for the business in france once. i met him in France ,i went his home several times. he visited me in bkk once. we been know each other one than a year now.

Is it difficult to get a visa? if they refuse the visa what should we do ? can we appeal ?

i really know that the canton they are working hard for all of us that is why it takes long time.

any have experience pls recommend ..

Based on my personal experience, it is possible to appeal a visa denial (year 2003, student visa, non-EU). My case might be different but just so you know that it is generally possible to appeal.
They gave me 10 working days to appeal (may be variable but they will explicitly mention this on the "denied visa" letter from the embassy) and re-submit documents that would strengthen my "case". The reasons for denial were also enumerated, so it was also clear what additional documents they want to have in the appeal.
Btw, after about 2 weeks from re-submitting documents, I was informed that the decision was reversed and that my visa was approved.

Hi Comedy! I got my D visa after 4 months upon submitting all the documents so just hang in there and wait patiently. I hope they won't deny your visa. I'm wishing u all the luck!
