I am currently working as a trainnee in Basel.My intership is 12 months and it will be over in the end of July. I have heard some says that I have a chance to extend it for another 6 months. My company is willing to extend my intership if that's possible.

Anyone know anything about this? Is it possible for me to stay for another 6 months? What should i do to renew my L pernit if its possible and what do i need for renewing? I got my internship through XXX organization but i called them and they told me that in Swiss they only allow trainnee for 12 months.They wont give me any letter to support my extension. Now I have less than 2 months until my permit expired. BTW im non EU citizen.

I know this a very old post. But I'm in the exact situation like you and would like to know whether you could solve this issue in some way.
