B Permit and Stay / Dependent permit issue timeline by canton

Dear All,
Could anyone help me here I tried to search the thread but could not find answers to my questions.
Could anyone here guide me or redirect me to the correct thread where some one may have already responded my questions
1. Is it compulsory to stay in same canton which issue me B permit ? If no then are there any implecations on taxation or permit processing.
2. I have applied for dependent permit and it has been nearly 2 months now but so far I have not heard from Cantonal authorities. Do they have some specific timeline during which they have to issue or does it depends on the person who is working on my case.
3. Are there any other ways to speed up the processing time ( i know it is bit silly question but I just wanted to understand if out of country application will speed up the process).
Thanks for your help.

Re: B Permit and Stay / Dependent permit issue timeline by canton

1) It should list it on the back of the permit in German. For Eu people, you can move, but for non-EU, I am not sure.

2) No, they can take as long as they think is necessary, unfortunately

3) out of country will take longer!

You could visit the office, and kindly ask if there is any news, that is what I would do, otherwise, you have to wait I am afraid...
