I wanted to ask if anyone knows the situation regarding the following:-

I want to teach basic skateboarding to people who want to learn or their kids to learn. My question is would I be able simply to have a waiver which people or parents must sign for accidents or must I have some kind of insurance?

I have no idea about the insurance but if you do go ahead with the lessons can you let me know. My son is getting interested in skateboarding & I'd rather he learned properly.

I can give you contact details from my insurance chappie who knows about many many things....and speaks "okidokey" English!!

Dave, are saying you need both insurance and waiver? Do you know this for a fact? I have insurance for myself.

Im not talking about throwing kids down ramps or anything. Basically teaching the basics of skateboarding, turning, stopping, ollies, some small tricks and obviously saftey.

Perhaps I would start with a half day course and see how the kids do if they want to return and learn more.
