Insurance for visitor Visa from India for Zurich

Hi,

I am from India and currently deputed in zurich on L-Permit.My wife is planning to join me on visitor visa.
Can anyone let me know that what can be done regarding overseas insurance..means whether we can have it from India or we have to have
one in zurich?

Thanks and regards

Re: Insurance for visitor Visa from India for Zurich

you mean a travel insurance which would cover for eventual sickness/hospitalisation, lost baggages etc? If she's staying only for a limited time period then you can get an international travel insurance from india.

You could try the following Swiss travel insurances for foreigners:

http://www.evasan.com/

http://www.kolping-krankenkasse.ch/d...rsicherung.php

Both of these do insurances for foreign travelers which are accepted by Swiss embassies overseas.... In my experience, however, you might just want to phone the Swiss embassy in your country and ask them if they can recommend any local insurances which they accept, usually quite a bit cheaper.
