Do I have any rights as a girlfriend of a man working in CH?

Hello!

I am in a serious relationship with an Iranian man living and working in Geneva Switzerland. I have been to Geneva 3 times now to see him but I cant continue this way any more. Is there any way I can stay there more permanently solely on the base of being his girlfriend? I am studying online and my boyfriend finances me while Im there.

Thanx!

I am Croatian.
If you were EU, then it would have been easier.

Now, you must convince the GE migration department about the length and seriousness of your relationship.

Thank you for your reply.

What is GE migration department?

Could you please briefly explain to me where I should go to try to start the whole process? Is there some institution I should visit in my home country or do I need to do most of it in Geneva? And if so, where?

I am sorry to ask you so much but I found it really hard to get any solid information on this matter in my home country especially with Switzerland entering the Schengen and most people not being up to date.

Thanx again

Hi!

You should really give the search function on the top right corner a try, you are obviously not the only one in a similar situation... so within seconds, I found this (and I am sure there is more if you do not find what you are looking for):

Non-EU cohabitation with an EU partner

Shocked by what I heard (unmarried couple)
