Exchange EU-L for EU-B permit

It would appear that in Zürich at least the authorities will not process any exchange of the existing EU-L to the new EU-B permits other than the usual exchange at expiry.

Re: Exchange EU-L for EU-B permit

Have you tried to submit it again? I did it even Migration Office told me that I have to wait till L permit expires. While the Kreisbüro where I am living said I can change it.... I will let you know the result.

Re: Exchange EU-L for EU-B permit

My colleague was sent forms for an EU B (she was on an L) when it was time to renew her permit.

Despite being sent forms automatically applying for a B, she was given another L. She asked if she could apply any time for a B and she was told that she could only do this when her new permit was close to expiring.
