B-permit renew in advance ??

I am a PhD student with a B-permit for doctorand. My permit will expire in early October. And I plan to come back to homeland in late September for 1 month. Is it possible to renew B-permit in advance? Or is there a way to accelerate the renewing process?

Thanks a lot:msngrin:

And how long it will take? If I submit the renewal application in the first week of Sept, can I get the new permit by the end of Sept? Is there any accelerating process for this? Many thanks for your kind response:)

Re: B-permit renew in advance ??

For my B permit, Migrationsamt ZH sent me an email stating that renewal can place as early as 3 months prior to expiry of the current permit. With all complete documentation, I got it within 3 weeks from my Einwohnerkontrolle at Wädenswil

Sehr geehrter Herr XXXXXX

As the new permit is in credit card format, the production of this card will take upto 2 weeks... so you may expect them in 2-3 weeks...

I was also told the same information at the Kreibuero, mine expires in late October and will start the renewal process 3 months before.

Does anyone have information on the actual renewal process? Like what forms are needed etc etc

Your Einwohnerkontrolle / Kreisburo has the forms which they will give you upon showing your permit and mentioning that you are seeking for a renewal.

I came to switzerland on B-permit and have a job here. The permit and it has to be renewed every year. Are all the B permits renewed when applied or there is any chance of rejection?

I once asked the migration office about this, and they told me that up to three months prior to expiration it would possible...but you also have to write the explanatory note as to why you need it so early, and of course bring all the necessary documents.
