[Praise] The Austrian consulate!

From what I´ve read so far in my limited time with EF, it seems success with bearuacracy is unheard of... well here´s something to knock yer socks off:

Admittedly it´s was an Austrian consulate, but it is in Switzerland! ... OK here goes:

I called the Austrian consulate in Bern to see if I could go to Austria and ultimately the schengen raum with:
1. a NZ passport and a swiss L visa (through being engaged to a German national)
2. Having already been in the Schengen raum for my maximum two times per 12 month allowance.

The woman was snakey, for sure, but the miracle was I got a straight answer: "Yes, you can enter Austria. Just bring your passport and L visa papers"... and I was subjected to trashy hold music for a maximum of only 60 seconds!

Life is beautiful!!!... After the previous running around/jumping through hoops we´ve had to do, that sure was a breath of fresh air.

...And now I can legally go to the Genesis concert in Germany that I got tickets for at Christmas!
