Simplified Naturalisation Questions

I am an Australian married to Swiss/Australian for 13years and have 2 dual national kids. Currently living in US but we have lived elsewhere in Europe for 3 years. Looking to go to Switzerland to live/retire and wanted to go through the process of getting a Swiss passport. Key issues are languages at this stage, can speak pidgeon french and understand some German, enough to know what my wife's family are talking about and smile/nod at the right times, but can't speak it very well. Obviousely will learn when we move. Are they strict on the languages... also the Swiss clubs abroad, I mean my wife is Swiss and she doesn't even go to these things.

Will be applying from the USA.. will this hinder me.

Thanks

Re: Simplified Naturalisation Questions

Welcome to the Forum and the World of Duplicate Questions.

This subject has been covered a couple of times before (understatement of the year) but as I now, after looking for it five or six times, know where some of the official documentation is - here is a place for you to start reading. Maybe it will help. Maybe not.

When you get to the 'not' stage, come back with more questions and perhaps a few words about yourself fo an Introduction.
