New Zealand Embassy?

Please forgive me if I have posted in the wrong place. But can anyone tell me if there is a NZ embassy here in Switzerland? And if not, Where is the nearest contact/consulate etc?

Thanks
Bell

Re: New Zealand Embassy?

Thanks guys. I was really hoping for an embassy or high commission, but a consulate is fine. I saw that already (on google) previously but had hoped for more. Which was why I posted here. Sorry I was not more clear in my message. What is the difference between an embassy, high commission and consulate anyway? Can they still deal with Passport issues?

Re: New Zealand Embassy?

I'm sure they can deal with passport issues. Either that or they will tell you who can.

Re: New Zealand Embassy?

Difference between an Embassy, a Consulate, or a High Commission?

Not a lot.

A Consulate is the part of an embassy that deal with citizens of the home country.. its the bit you want. A High Commission is just another name for an Embassy that is used within the British Commonwealth for embassies between member nations. You won't find any High Commissions here in Switzerland, because it is outside the Commonwealth.

Not quite. The embassy can deal with both interstatal relations and "people relations" regardless of their nationality. The consulate can only deal with people and cannot under any circumstance interfere in country-to-country stuff.
