| | Traffic tickets
I have three Swiss speeding tickets from 2007 that have been unpaid. I am planning a trip to Switzerland later this year. Does anyone have any information about what immigration will check for when I enter Swiss territory?

you get stopped at the border and they run your plates...pay on the spot with interest.
get pulled over anywhere during your stay same thing.
get lucky and pay nothing....
3x ticket your not on the wanted list. 10x then yes

Typically they'll tie a millstone around your ankles and throw you into Lake Zurich. (not) | This user would like to thank tomcat for this useful post: | |

full cavity check then reject your visa and send you back.
or if you're lucky, allow you to pay plus interest and tell you off for next time.

I was doing 62km in 50km zone and got fined CHF250 on 15.03. Didn't pay it on time due to holidays and Easter Eve break (away on holidays). Only planned to sort it out end of May when the salary is thru. Yesterday, I received the registered letter with amount CHF535(250+260+25) from Strafbefehl. Any chances of being able to pay only the original amount CHF250 or it is too late for excuses???

BTW: I'm just a bit mad. I would rather invite good EFers for beer or lollipops instead of adding to revenue |
