Working in Geneva, living in France. Is that OK?

Thinking of the price and availability, i may consider living in the French border to Geneva. Those little villages..

Is it ok from legal perspective? I mean the residence permit is ok to apply even by this way?

Thanks!

It can be ok, you would need a different permit type though. You also, obviously, need the right to live in France. Talk to your HR dept about it.
