No of years required to get open B permit from restricted B permit - NON EU

when the retricted/employer bound B permit(non eu) (no Change of jobs allowed) will become Open B permit(change of jobs allowed)

I was given 2 L permit and then 2 B permit(retricted) in 4 years.
When this B permit will be open so that change of jobs allowed ?

Its an automatic process you get B permit after 18 months ( assuming Swiss authorities believe that your skills are still needed and annual quota for B permit is not over).

so assuming you have a non-indian outsourcing employer and that you work for one of the largest employers, when can you expect this to happen? I thought there is no general rule on this?

It is most certainly not automatic - it has to be applied for by the employer - and is heavily dependant on the employment contract and type.

There is no general rule. If working for a bodyshopper then you have less chance. If working for the end client then you probably get the open permit from the start.
