Re: can i marry ?

Certainly you can live together, but whether this is possible in Switzerland is doubtful, you have no real reason and it is quite possible if will be difficult to marry here without permanent residence. The easiest way to get good, no nonsense advice would be to go to your communal office and ask, once you done this and you know what the bottom line is, then come back and ask some questions.

There is a possibility that the commune maybe wrong, but far more chance answers you get here will be even further off the real answer !

Agree with what he said.....go ask the experts BUT tourists marry here every year, so you don't need residence here but you'll need permission from your embassies and quite a bit of paperwork.....

And, no, you don't need to be married to live together

Re: can i marry ?

An F permit is a claimant seeking protection ie asylum seeker who is granted provisional admission to CH. Therefore, to be asked to go to one's embassy or back home is against the principle of granting temporary protection, hence his predicament.

In theory, the F permit is an annual residence permit, with work rights and grants some civil rights.

To the OP: Seek advice with your Gemeinde, and if she is with another Gemeinde, ask her likewise to consult with her Gemeinde.

Sure, two people, neither of whom have permanent residency rights, wanting to marry. If it's a fake marriage, what would the purpose be?

To the OP - you can almost certainly marry - it's part of human rights legislation. Whether you'll be able to stay together, and where, depends on the whether your marriage is recognised in whatever country you both wish to end up living.

Those holding F are entitled to obtain a Native Passport, with due permission
from the BFM. With the required paper work, marrying another in the same
Community holding a "B" is advantageous to converting your status to
"B" . The bad news is that on 4-4-11 the Govt. of Sri Lanka declared
that no Passports will be issued via their Consulates to those with
Refugee status. They can get an Emergency Certificate to travel back
to Sri Lanka only.

If you have 4 years of stay on F and without depending on "social" for
at lest one year, you are entitled to a work-B permit is what I have
gathered. It is more correct to obtain a "B" and marry the other "B".
You will overcome the non-issue of a native Passport if you first get
at a "B" - i.e. you are no more a Refugee?
