Can anyone recommend a cattery in Ticino or just over the border in Italy? Really want to make the most of living here and travel around a bit but having problems finding someone to look after our cat while we're away.

Hope everything is proceeding well w/ your newborn, italian lessons, etc.

When we still had our cat our neighbors and a friend took care of her...
I would ask the vet to point me in the right direction.

Just a follow-up on this - I spoke to the vet and got a recommendation for a local cattery/kennels:

I've booked our cat in for a stay as the website looks good and I spoke to the owners (plus we couldn't find any other options!) - haven't visited yet but will do before Elsie Fluff goes on her hols. Although the website does look very dog-focussed apparently they have a separate sections for cats.

Will report back once we've visited/Elsie has stayed.

Just some feedback on the cattery/kennels we used in Ticino. All seems good - the cat area is small but separate from the dogs (although you will need to carry the cat through an area with dogs running free) and the cages were a decent size, clean, had plenty of food & water and things to entertain the cats (they even leave the radio on for company!). We're happy enough to have booked Elsie in again in July.

Could you perhaps put your recommendation in here too. It helps folk searching in the future to find stuff all together.
