Living with feline noise - what can I do ?

Hey,

Where we live we have few cats going around days and nights without any trouble. Sometimes one will bring a gift (mouse) at the front door of the building and I believe it is probably El Padre. Big old cat leaving in one appartment downstairs. Nice cat, very respected by his fellow cats, no one will mess with him.

Since two days, we have a new young intrepid coming and staying around. It is obvious that he tries to change the regime and push out El Padre from his respected position.

So two days and nights of meow in all tones, piiiiiishhh and roarrrrrr non-stop. Is it the beginning of a revolution and when this will stop?

Last night, at 3h30 I had enough and I throw a bucket of water by the window in the noise direction. I saw them both running away and I was able to go back to sleep. But was a short break, they were on their cat fight again this morning...

Any idea how to stop this? Or at least maybe an idea for how long they will fight before the biggest pussy win the battle?

(I am on El Padre side by the way.... those youngters think they can do everything without any respect for the elderly ).

I've always wondered. What's the difference between a pussy and a cat?

Angry cat sounds can be very disturbing! This one never fails to scare the crap out of me - it's like it's got the Rage virus or something!
