Does this sound like a fraud? Cat seller

Don't know if it sounds weird - found some lady through the internet.

She says she is German, moved to Spain and has a Cat Litter. She has kittens and is selling them for 340CHF each

Says they will be delivered door to door from Spain to Switz

She says all medical stuff is done and papers will be given to me from delivery agent

Eveline Poli is the name

Close your browser and run! Far away. Quickly.

E.T.A. - If you need to ask, then it usually is a scam.

Re: Does this sound like a fraud? Cat seller

Listen, you have been asking all these cat questions for months now and it seems you really just don't know the first thing about pets and all that concerns them. So please, do NOT take a cat into your home, for the sake of the cat. And if you absolutely must - go and get a cat from the shelter and stop trying to get pedigree cats for a pittance. Cheap pedigree is usually baaaad pedigree, with bad conditions for the cats, which will make them behaviourally challenged.

Let me guess, you only have to Western Union her the money? Of course it's a scam and has been discussed on EF before.

Re: Does this sound like a fraud? Cat seller

Is there nothing suitable in the vast tierheim database across Switzerland? I did a quick check and they have 74 pages of unwanted cats across Switzerland - surely you can find something suitable there? Even a kitten?

http://www.tierdatenbank.ch/cms/tier...unschtier.html

In fact, in case you've missed it, Frau melloncollie wrote a long informative post about the adoption procedure:

http://www.englishforum.ch/1048607-post6.html

BTW, there is no such thing as cheap pedigree.

I agree with the cat shelter and the pedigree argument, but the rest is a bit harsh. At least he is asking for advice. Let's face it, your average moggy isn't very high maintenance; as long as you sort out the vaccinations and worming (if necessary), leave it enough food and water and somewhere cosy to slepp, it'll happily look after itself and return the care and affection in kind. At least you don't have to cope with tedious dogwalks, getting up to let them out for a shite (and clearing it up after) etc.

This person has really been going on about it for months and from the past statements, they really, REALLY have no clue. It will be a case of "aaaw, the kitten is cute, we love the kitten" and then "oh drat, the grown cat has scratched the sofa, stupid cat, out you go". It's a living thing, not a convenience item.

Re: Does this sound like a fraud? Cat seller

I think we can assume this is a fraud and that you should only buy a kitten when you've seen it at the breeders house, together with its mother.
