[Neighbour's] aggressive dogs

I have some neighbors and they have two agresive dogs i think one of them is rottweiler. Many times when i go to to my car he is coming next to the 70-80 cm fence and showing his teeth and barking, sometimes they are putting their forward legs on the top of the fence.Do you think i should call the police or let them wait till some day they jump and attack.

Neither.

How about you talk to your neighbour first?

Fine advice, but if the "Scared or Polite" thread is anything to go by, your average Swiss neighbour would call the police or write a letter.

Heh, that thread is what prompted my response. I'm hoping that Albanians are less Swiss than, well, the Swiss.

If you call the police, they will come and say the neighbour has made good provision to stop the dogs escaping. If the dogs do get out and without a muzzle, then you can call the police and the neighbour will have to act.Sorry its not more help

How do you know they are aggressive? Sounds more like just excitable to me. Are you nervous around dogs?

I can appreciate that this makes you uneasy. Near my home is a Doberman, he barks, shows teeth and I am sure he could jump the fence if he wanted to but he never has. The way he carries on is very unnerving.

It sounds like the fence is too low if the dogs can put their front paws on top of it. Snap a picture and take it to the gemeinde. A video might be even better. Our fence is 1 meter high and our dogs are much smaller and not on any watch list. How far back from the street is the fence?
