wanted: travel kennel for large dog

hi, i am looking to buy a large travel kennel. ideally a vari kennel (airline approved) and also ideally in the valais/vaud regions, ie not too far to come to collect. It's for an american bulldog. am also interested in finding a large dog harness, and/or carry packs. thanks.

Have a kennel and harness, but in Zurich. If you don't find something closer, I could meet you near Solothurn to save an hour of driving.

Re: wanted: travel kennel for large dog

And for harnesses, I'm a huge fan of the Ruffwear Webmaster harness:

http://www.ruffwear.com/dog_harnesses

I originally got one of these for Houdini, who as his name implies, could break out of every other harness type we tried - and I tried pretty much all others on the planet. The double strap is pure genius.

I liked the harness so much that Hooligan now wears one as well. The harness was a godsend when my husband needed to do a bit of ad-hoc rappelling down a ravine, having completely mis-read his trail map...

Ruffwear make several dog packs as well:

I get my gear direct from Ruffwear, shipping to a US address because it's quite a bit less expensive that way. However, there are several retailers in Switzerland and Germany that carry Ruffwear products. See 'International Retailers' on their site.

Meiko is one - I don't see the Webmaster in their online shop selection, but you can always ask if they could special order it for you. Meiko delivers Switzerland-wide.

Meiko carry a variety of harnesses. Their website could be more descriptive - there isn't as much product information as one often needs, but write to them with questions, they are usually prompt to answer.
