Lost Dogs in Allschwil/French border area

Dear all,
A friend of ours has lost his 2 long haired standard dachshunds (black and tan, one male and one female) when they jumped out of their kennel while he was unloading at a garage. He is absolutely heartbroken and has been searching for almost 2 weeks now. If anyone has tips or sees/finds the two he would be very grateful!

Jules, I quickly skimmed the Tierdatenbank to see if the dogs are registered as lost, and didn't find them. Please tell your friend to list them, including a photo:

http://www.tierdatenbank.ch/cms/tier.../vermisst.html

Also - has the owner notified ANIS? Anyone finding a dog is required to report to both the cantonal authority and to check the chip with ANIS.

For other tips, see this thread:

Paws crossed that these doglets make it home safely.

Re: Lost Dogs in Allschwil/French border area (Update)

Hello everyone!
Sorry it has taken so long for me to get an update on my friends dogs. Here is the new information:

They were not lost near his home in Allschwil, but near a friend's home in Pratteln. The listing for the missing dogs is here: http://www.stmz.ch/de/index.php?lang...d=44535&back=1

These two have now been gone for 1 month and our friend is absolutely heartbroken over the situation. I'm trying to spread the word in the hopes that some soul runs across them.

If you have any leads, please message me as the owner will be out of town for the next few weeks.

Thanks again.

Re: Lost Dogs in Allschwil/French border area

as its a month, either they are in the shelter, at someones home or the worst has happened.

i assume the owner has put up small posters in the area and also in the various pet stores around pratteln/basel sbb and in weil, I ask as i have not seen any relating to 2 dogs and the pet store would be a logical focal point.
